In late May, Lights Fashion Music’s Andy Murphy provided the soundtrack to the launch of MINI Paceman’s brand new concept store on Chapel Street in Melbourne.
Far from your typical retail outlet, the Paceman Store features international fashion collaborations that reflect the style and design of the MINI Paceman.
It’s a brilliant concept fusing the car’s amazing styling in a retail shop setting, featuring collections from renowned designers from across the globe. The night was a perfect example of the Lights Fashion Music philosophy where fashion, music and style collide, with Melbourne’s “It” crowd of fashionistas, bloggers and media joining in on the fun.
The first collaboration is by Andrew Chen from New York, the creative Director of 3sixteen who also attended the launch night. A selection of his famous jeans were on display highlighting the various intricacies in the ways his jeans are worn in.
The new cars also took centre stage on the night, presenting a modern twist on the classic Mini.
We can’t wait to check out further collaborations in the store over the coming months, including:
British tailoring legend, Timothy Everest
Dennis Ebeli of NYC sock brand, Alfredo Gonzales
Sigurd Larsen, architect and furniture designer from Berlin
Sam Huff of Oregon leather specialists, Tanner Goods
Mark McNairy of shoe company, New Amsterdam.
Head to 250 Chapel Street Prahran to check it out.
